Wireless/Web Based Ocean-Observation Using Sensor Network with Data Logger and Monitoring System(Fuse Link System)
“Wireless/Web Based Ocean-Observation using Sensor Network with Data Logger and Monitoring System” is designed to analyze ocean under water parameters. The system is made up of tightly closed capsule like float (100% water Proof material). To analyze under water observation, the system is immersed in deep sea water. This immersed float system is pulled down by a weight to deep sea. When the Float is pulled down, the system collects information’s(temp, pressure etc) through 4 different sensors and stores in built-in memory until a particular pressure of water is reached. When particular pressure is reached, the weight is cutoff by a mechanism and fall down and the Float alone comes up to the surface of sea and transmits collected information to the nearby ships through Wireless and to Web Servers through built in GPRS, if signal is strong.
System Details
- This is LPC1768 cortex_m3 based data logging and monitoring system
1. LPC1768 cortex m3 mother board with SD_MMC CARD, Wireless & GPRS.
2. Capacitor changer board with relay
3. 12v, 13 Ah small Battery
4. 4 nos. of sensors (4 to 20 Ma)
- The above items are accommodated in a Cylindrical Float of 15cm Diameter and 26cm Height.as shown below.
- The Sensors dips are taken out at the bottom of the Cylindrical Float along with a Fuse Link Hook in which a weight of ½kg iron Rod is Hanged to Pull Down the entire Float in to the deep of Sea Water.
- The float is designed for 100% water proof.
- When the Float System moves down to deep water, the Battery operated mother board collects information from Sea Water every seconds(Programmable) and Store the Information in the SD-MMC Card built-in.
- The built in Capacitor is Charged simultaneously up to 340 V DC and maintains the value using PWM pulses.
- The Pressure Sensor senses the Sea Water Pressure and the Pressure Value is compared with Set Pressure Value (Programmable). When the Set Pressure Value and real time Pressure Value is equal ,the built in relay is switched ON, which in turn short the Capacitor Voltage through the Fuse Link.
- The Fuse Link is now Burned Off and the weight is detached from the Cylinder Float and fall down.
- Now the Float Comes up to the Sea Surface, and transmit “Alert Messages” to the ships which are Equipped with Wireless Receiver Unit on the Sea Surface.
- Following the Reception of “Alert Messages “,the Receiver Units start chat with the Float System and receive the Collected Informations.
